Air volleyball , lineup and basic tactics
The basic tactics of air volleyball are the predictable, purposeful and organized actions taken by athletes to effectively use technology according to the specific circumstances and on-the-spot changes of both sides in the game.
A lineup
Principle: Comprehensively consider spiking and blocking, offense and defense, and match the lineup according to factors such as the athlete’s offensive ability, defensive technique, height, etc., to make the best use of their strengths and overcome their weaknesses, so as to avoid obvious shortcomings in the front or backcourt due to lineup rotation.
Three-two configuration: 3 offensive players and 2 setters are arranged on the field.
Advantages: The setter and the attacker are matched reasonably, which is convenient for organizing the setter’s attack
Disadvantages: There will be a situation where both setters are in the front row, which may result in poor blocking quality
Four-one configuration: 4 offensive players and 1 setter on the field
Advantages: clear division of labor between setter and attacker, multiple attacking points
Disadvantages: The physical requirements for the setter are relatively high
Two basic tactics
The offense in air volleyball (except serving) all starts with defense (receiving the ball). The transition between offense and defense is obvious during the game, with defense in offense and offense in defense.
In actual games, there are only four different types of incoming balls, namely: offensive balls that are served, spiked and blocked, and non-offensive balls that are pushed (passed, cushioned).
Therefore, the collective offense and defense tactics of volleyball have formed four sets of tactical play, namely: receiving the serve and the first attack, receiving the spike and the counterattack, receiving the blocked ball and the defending attack, and receiving the non-attack ball and the pushing attack.
These four sets have corresponding defensive and offensive play styles. The defensive formations of different defensive play styles are different, such as the formations for receiving serves and receiving spikes are very different. However, the offensive tactical formations and offensive tactical play styles in each offensive subsystem are basically similar.
For example, the offensive tactical formations usually have three types: “center one and two”, “side one and two” and “back row insertion”; and the offensive tactical play styles, although there are many names and too many to mention, can be attribute to four categories: strong attack, fast attack, three-dimensional attack and two-time attack. The system is summarize as follows
Conclusion
(1) Collective tactics and individual skills must be perfectly combine
Collective tactics: including collective offensive tactics and collective defensive tactics
Personal skills: serve, first pass, second pass, spiking, blocking, back row defense, etc.
In actual combat, individual skills and collective tactics should be organically combine and complement each other. Only when individual skills are perfectly integrate into collective tactics can they exert greater power.
(2) Individuals need to improve their tactical awareness
Players should use their skills purposefully according to the situation. For example, when spiking the ball, don’t just aim for a miracle with great force, but cleverly grasp the chances of changing the line, spiking lightly, causing the opponent to hit the ball out of bounds, etc. Two or more players should form an organized and purposeful collective coordination.
(3) Team tactics must be flexible and effective
We should start from the actual situation of our team and choose corresponding tactics according to the technical level, technical characteristics, physical condition, physical condition, etc. of the players. At the same time, we should take flexible and effective actions according to the technical and tactical characteristics of the opponent and the changes in the on-site situation, disrupt the opponent’s tactical intentions and take the initiative in the game.
